Residence

Bringing the family into the region can be an exciting but also daunting prospect all at the same time.

Does the family come with you when you start work or should they wait till you are settled in the region and then follow later, both questions are relevant and should be considered carefully. Most overseas contract work with the family in tow has these dilemmas. Organisation of the family documentation is the key to any success of family residency in most countries. In the UAE the main sponsor of the family should have completed all their residency paperwork including receiving their National Emirates ID Card before starting any of the family/dependents processing.

The Main Sponsor should have in place before commencing with family:

  • Work Permit
  • Residence Visa
  • Emirates ID Card
  • Home Tenancy/ Rental Agreement/Home Title Deeds
  • Ejari confirming the Home Tenancy

Children need to have attested birth certificates from home country to apply under the main sponsor.

The children need residency visa to register for the school year so there is always an element of time constraint.

For adoption and divorced cases please contact us direct as additional documentation will be needed.

Spouses need to have fully attested marriage certificates from the country where the marriage ceremony was held to apply under the main sponsor.

Contact us for any further clarification on sponsoring your family in the UAE.
